Teotlalco's was the daughter of Matlaccohuatl, Tlatoani of Ecatepec, in the Valley of Mexico.[1] She was born around 1478 CE and was a young woman when Herman Cortes arrived from Spain and conquered the Aztec Empire of pre-Columbian Mexico in just a few years. Her father was killed by June 30, 1521 when the Spanish deposed Moctezuma and took over the Aztec Empire.
Teotlalco was a Nahua princess of Ecatepec and Aztec Queen [= Cihuātlahtoāni] of Tenochtitlan. Teotlalco was Aztec ruler Moctezuma's principal wife and mother of Isabel Moctezuma, who married his successor, Cuitláhuac. She died in the 1520s CE.
