William EDGECUMBE was born in 1840 in St Neot, Cornwall, England and christened on 14 March 1841 in Liskeard, Cornwall[1]. His parents were William EDGECUMBE and Emma STRIKE.
1851, 10 year old, William was living in St Neot Cornwall, Cornwall, England with his parents, William (age 37, Ag. Lab.) and Emma (38); siblings, Emma (6), Jane (4), Mary (2) and Joseph (2)[2]. Also living in the household was lodger, Henry WELSH (age 39, Tinner).
The ship, Storm Cloud set sail from Plymouth, England on 12 February 1858 with the EDGECUMBE family among the passengers and arrived at Port Adelaide, Colony of South Australia on 28 April 1858[3][4]. The EDGECOMBE family from Cornwall consisted of parent William (age 43, Farm Labourer) and Emma (47) and their children, George (20, Labourer), William (17, Labourer), Emma (15, Servant), Jane (12), Joseph (9), Mary (9), Thomas (6) and Charles (2).
Ann HEADING and William EGDECOME were married on 3 February 1963 at St Peter, Robe, Colony of South Australia[5].
He passed away in 1924 in Sea Lake, Victoria, Australia[6]
