Biography
Kathleen Josephine [Sister Carmel] Edwards was born on 6 February 1906 to John Newton Edwards and Catherine Walsh in Queensland, Australia.
Occupied as a school teacher from 1934 to 1959 taught in Queensland schools at Emerald a country town, and then in the Brisbane suburbs of Herston, Graceville and Ekibin. Whilst teaching with the Presentation Sisters she was known as Sister Carmel.
Never Married.
Death occurred on 30 July 1967 at Mt. Olivet Hospital, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane.
Buried at Nudgee Cemetery, Brisbane Queensland, Australia..
