Biography

Birth
John was born in 1842 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.[1] He was the son of John Edwards and Rebecca Hunt. He was baptised at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 26th June 1842 and his father stated on the register that he was a mason.[2]
Marriage
John Edwards and Emma Harris were married in Church Hanborough, Oxfordshire on 26th April 1863[3]. They were bachelor and spinster both aged 20 and living in Hanborough at the time. John was a mason and the son of John Edwards who was also a mason. Emma was a gloveress and stated of her father only that he was deceased. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Moses Busby and Sophia Tallott[4].
