Biography
Damaris Elder was born around 1751 in Falmouth, Maine[1].
She married Jonathan Stone on 16 November 1782[2]. They had nine children[3]:
- 1. Jonathan, born 26 Oct 1783; married Sally Whitney
- 2. William, born 22 Aug 1785
- 3. Damaris, born 17 Oct 1787; married Eli Whitney
- 4. Solomon, born 1 Aug 1789; married Sally Wescott
- 5. Archelaus, born 17 Nov 1791; married Betsey Emery
- 6. Anna, born 26 Nov 1793; married George Files
- 7. Miriam, born 6 Dec 1795; married Daniel Davis
- 8. Eunice, born 25 Apr 1799
- 9. Mary, born 1801
Damaris passed away on 25 February 1836 in Gorham[4] and is buried in North Street Cemetery.
