Biography

Thomas Ellis was born in Leeds Yorkshire Dec 1576. His father was Richard Ellis and his mother was Elizabeth Moorhouse; they had married in Leeds Nov 1561.

Thomas married Agnes Roth in Leeds Oct 1607. They had MANY children but the list on FamSearch is comingled with a different Thomas Ellis from Leeds so I don't know who belongs to who.

I will NOT be building a profile for Agnes Roth. The image quality on her marriage record is poor; her maiden name could be anything. I think it was mistranscribed. That aside, they had a daughter Elizabeth Ellis b in Adel August 1612.
