MEMORIAL
Cary Arvel Ellisor passed away January 23, 2020. After a year long, well fought battle with cancer, Cary quietly slipped away with his family by his side.
Cary and his twin brother were born November 16, 1949 in Conroe to D.D. Ellisor and Doris Partain Ellisor. Cary graduated from Cleveland High School in 1969 where he played football and was an active member of FFA.
He married Shirley Crye in 1975 and was blessed with his daughter in 1977. Cary served in the U.S. Army after high school and was a retired commercial plumber.
Cary was headstrong and stubborn; qualities that kept him going during his illness. You always knew where you stood with him. He was neither subtle nor shy, and enjoyed a good laugh. He loved to hunt, spending many late nights in the woods, and burned a lot of daylight working in his garden tending to his vegetables. He was a true country boy.
Cary is survived by his wife, Shirley and his daughter Rachel Darino (Hugo) and two grandchildren, Daniel and Ruby. He is also survived by his twin brother, Gary Ellisor, and loving extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services are scheduled for January 29, 2020 at 2:00 under the direction of Neal Funeral Home, followed by internment at Montague Cemetery.
