Biography

Charles was born on the 1st of May 1836^[1][2] His parents were Thomas and Ann. He was baptised on the 25th of July 1836 in Holy Trinity, Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire.^[3][4] He married Mary Ogram, daughter of Robert, on the 26th of March 1860 in Holy Trinity.^[5][6] He was 25 she was 27. He was a sailor according to the 1871 census and his marriage record.^[7][8]
