Sarah Emery was baptised in Potton on 3 Jul 1848, the daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Bird) Emery.^[1] Whether this was the Sarah who married in Islington needs to be proved.

In 1851, she was living in Potton - Samuel Emery Head marr 47 Thatcher b Potton; Sarah Emery Wife 45 b Bassingbourne, Cambs; Emma Emery Daughter 22 b Potton; John Emery Son 19 b Potton; Eliza Emery Daughter 16 b Potton; George Emery Son 9 b Potton: William Emery Son 6 b Potton; Sarah Emery Daughter 3 b Potton; Ann Emery Mother 71 b Cockayne Hatley, Bedfordshire.^[2]

In 1861 living in Potton - Samuel Emery Head 55 b Potton,; George Emery Son 19 b Potton; William Emery Son 17 b Potton; Sarah Emery Daughter 16 b Potton Her age is wrong but it's the same family as 1851.^[3]
