Biography

John was born in 1880. John married Grace Kennedy in 1927. He was an Irishman who was known to have a kind heart and was a good manager as far as money and the farm went. He was so kind to the animals, that as soon as they saw him coming to the barn or the pasture, they would go to where he was, cows, pigs, chickens, and just about any animal on the place. They had one daughter Julie, born in 1929, who married Gerald Essery.

On January 29, 1929, 39 year old Thomas John English married 34 year old Julia Grace Kennedy at Ilderton, Ontario. Thomas was born about 1890 in Tyrone, Ireland to Andrew English and Mary Anne Currie. He was a farmer in London Township. Julia was born about 1895 in Delaware Township to Thomas Kennedy and Julia Patrick. She was single and also a resident of London Township. Witnesses were Frank Kennedy and Annie Charlton, both of Ilderton.^[1]

John died about 1961 at the age of 79 in Komoko, Ontario and was buried at Campbell Cemetery in Komoko.^[2]
