Charles Ericsson was born in 1854 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Charles married Jane Elizabeth Pidgeon (born in 1853 in Tasmania, Australia; daughter of James Pigeon and Ann Elizabeth (Cunningham) Pidgeon) on June 17, 1908 in New Zealand.

Charles was naturalized on October 31, 1893 in Wellington.^[1]

Charles died on December 7, 1930 in Wellington, New Zealand, aged 75. He is buried in ^{[2] [3][4]}
