Biography
Johan Ericsson was born on July 3, 1785 at Sigfridstorp in Ramundeboda, Örebro, Sweden. He is a son of Eric Jansson and Brita Persdotter.[1] He lived in Sigfridstorp until he married.[2]
Johan married Maja Nilsdotter on June 22, 1811 in Undenäs, Skaraborg, Sweden.[3] They moved to Grönelid, Finnerödja on April 24, 1814.[4][5][6] They moved to Östergötland and then moved back by 1845. They were "inhys," a person living free on another person’s property.[7][8] They had four children:
- Carl Frederic- b. 3 Sep 1811 in Ramundeboda[9]
- Erasmus- b. 2 Jun 1817 in Finnerödja[10]
- Johannes- b. 10 Apr 1820 in Finnerödja[11]
- Brita Lisa- b. 17 Nov 1823 in Finnerödja[12]
Johan died on May 1, 1859 at Grönelid in Finnerödja, Örebro, Sweden. He died of consumption.[13]
