Katie Erzer Wildhaber (daughter of Johann Erzer and Mary Eilers Lottmann) was born April 21, 1876 in Neier, Missouri, died October 21, 1951 in Beaufort, Missouri with burial in St. Joseph's Neier Cemetery. She married William J Wildhaber (son of Johann Rudolph Wildhaber and Elizabeth Schmuke) on May 28, 1895 in Neier, Missouri; born January 12, 1866 in Neier, Missouri, and died January 28, 1937 in Beaufort, Missouri with burial in St. Joseph's Neier Cemetery.[1]

Obituary for Katie Erzer Wildhaber
On Sunday evening, October 21, 1951, death came suddenly to Mrs. Katie Wildhaber (nee Erzer) of Beaufort, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 6 months. Mrs. Wildhaber resided in Beaufort all of her life and was a life time member of St. Joseph's Parish where she was a member of the Married Ladies Altar Society.
On May 28, 1895, she was married to the late Wm. J. Wildhaber and to this union seven children were born. They are: daughters, Emma Knaus and Ella Miller, sons, Fred and David, all in St. Louis; sons, George, Sullivan, Missouri, Frank, Coffeen, Illinois and Walter, Beaufort, Missouri. Mrs. Wildhaber is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Petric, Union, Mrs. John Dinwiddie, Hereford, Arizona and Mrs. Edward Neier and a brother, Otto Erzer, Beaufort. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral was attended by great numbers of friends besides her many relatives, attesting to the high esteem with which she was held in her community and throughout Franklin County. Mrs. Wildhaber's remains lay in state at the Temme Funeral Parlor at Beaufort, Missouri, until Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock when the funeral procession repaired to St. Joseph's Church at Neier, Missouri, for the funeral mass. The mass was sung by Father Marschner, pastor of St. Joseph's church. Father Marschner in his sermon, the text of which was "There is but one step between life and death" interposed the many Godly virtues which surrounded Mrs. Wildhaber's life and affectionately referred to her as "Grandma." She was laid to rest in the St. Joseph cemetery beside her husband.
