Biography
Johann Tobias was born in 1726 in Flacht. He was the son of Christoph Eßig and Anna Maria.[1]
Marriage
- 1st marriage: 16 Nov 1745 in Eberdingen. Johann Tobias Essig (son of Schultheiß Christoph Essig) married Maria Catharina (daughter of Johann Friedrich Schwarz from Heimerdingen).[2][3]
- 2nd marriage: 22 Aug 1752 in Hemmingen. Widower Johann Tobias Eßich married Maria Catharina (daughter of SchultheißJohann Georg Schmid from Hemming).[4]
- 3rd marriage: 20 Nov 1764 in Flacht. Widower Johann Tobias Eßich married Susanna Catharina (daughter of Schultheiß Johann Georg Müller from Simotsheim).[5]
He passed away in 1766.

Nancy Grossman
Johann Tobias Essich (Essig) and Maria Catharina Schmid (Schmidt) were married on 22 August 1752 (unless that was the date of their banns). This was his second marriage. His first marriage was to Maria Catherina Schwarzenhorst on 16 November 1745. I believe his first wife died from complications due to childbirth on or shortly after 30 January 1752.
