"Erwin W. Everman, 59, prominent agriculturist and producer of purebred Holstein-Freisian cattle, died in the Highland Hospital, Rochester, Thursday, Jan. 24, 1952, following surgery.
He was born in Andover, Sept. 2, 1892 and came to Dansville with his parents, the late Theodore B. and Anna Hubertus Everman at the age of two years. Widely known as a most successful farmer, Mr. Everman won the New York State Championship for DeKalb corn in 1945. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Scottsburg Grange.
Mr. Everman and Miss Elsie Howe were united in marriage in 1917. Survivors besides his widow are two daughters, Miss Joan Everman of San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Nancy Kate Everman, at home and one son, Robert Everman at hpme; two brothers, Theodore H. Everman and William F. Everman, both of Dansville; two sisters, Mrs. William S. Lemen of Dansville and Mrs. Raymond Ritz of Rochester; also several nephews and nieces.
A prayer service was held in the Everman home Monday at 9:00 a. m., followed by requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church at 9:30. The Rev. Edward M. Scheid officiated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. ["Genesee Country Express and Advertiser (Dansville, NY), Thurs., Jan. 31, 1952, Page Ten]"
