Biography

Frances was baptised on 4 Oct 1782 at Egginton, Derby, England, the youngest daughter of Edward Every and Mary Morley. She was the second wife of Major William Miller, late of the Royal Regiment of Horse Guards. She died on 16 Aug 1824.

MEMORIAL PHOTOS 3 FLOWERS 1 "2nd wife of Major William Miller, whose father was the celebrated Patrick Miller of Dalswinton. She was the youngest daughter of Sir Edward Every, baronet, of Eggington Hall, Derbyshire, and died 16th August 1824. Major Miller's first partner was, as we have already seen, "the lovely young Jessie" Staig of Burns' verse. He was buried in Greyfriars' Chuchyard, Edinburgh."
