Altie Leona Davis was born in DeKalb County, Tennessee on the 6th of August, 1892[1] to James Ewell and Nancy Hale.
In 1900 she would be living with her parents James(49) and Nancy(39) in Distrct 3, DeKalb County Tennessee. The children in the home would be Mary(19), Nancy(15), Altie(8), Minnie May(4)[2].
She would marry Ross Alfred Davis on the 31st of October, 1909 in DeKalb County, Tennessee[3] and they would have:
In 1910 she(17) and Ross(20) were living on Dry Creek and Clear Fork Road in District 3 in DeKalb County, Tennessee[8]
In 1920 she(27) and Alfred(34) would be living in District 3 in DeKalb County, Tennessee with their children Tommie(5), Nancy(1), and sister Minnie(22)[5].
In 1930 they had moved to District 5 in DeKalb County, Tennessee and in the home were Ross943), Altie(37), her sister Minnie(30), son Tommy(16), daughter Nancy(12), and mother Nancy Lutishia(76)[6]
In 1935 they were in Rural Dekalb County, Tennessee, and still there in 1940[9]
In 1950 we see her(67) and Ross(64) now living with their son James Austin on Allen Ferry Road in DeKalb County, Tennessee[7]
Ross would pass away on the 26 Feb 1961, and she would not remarry[10], at the time of his deaht they were living on R#4 in Smithville, DeKalb County, Tennessee.
She died on the 19th of July, 1969 in Tennessee and would be buried in the Hale Cemetery in DeKalb County, Tennessee[11]
