REES—FABER, EVENING POST, VOLUME CXV, ISSUE 54, 6 MARCH 1933, PAGE 11 The marriage was solemnised at St. Thomas' Church recently of Grace, third, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Fletcher Faber, Wellington, to Stewart, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Rees, Wellington, and grandson of the late Mr. W. G. Rees, of Whakatipu. The Rev. C. V. Rooke performed the ceremony, which was choral. The church was artistically decorated with white and blue hydrangeas with lycopodium as a background and a large white and silver bell hung over the chancel steps. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful gown of pearl tinted satin closely moulded to the figure, the fitting sleeves being fully puffed to the elbow, and the long flowing skirt forming a train at the back, finished with a design of tailored bows. An embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and roses with touches of pink. The two bridesmaids, Miss Ida Faber (chief) and Miss Linda Pound, wore dainty frocks of sprigged organdi of pink and lemon respectively with short frilled puffed sleeves, the skirts being prettily frilled in panels. Their large picture hats to tone were trimmed with satin ribbon falling in lover's knots at the back. They carried bouquets of roses and carnations to match their frocks. Mr. Ralph Comerford was best man, and Mr. Ronald Rees groomsman. The reception was held at Gamble and Creed's Reception Rooms, which were decked with a profusion of flowers and a white bell hung in the hall. Mrs. Faber received the guests wearing a frock and coatee of blue georgette with inset godets of lace, and hat to tone. Her bouquet was of autumn flowers. Mrs. Rees was gowned in black georgette and lace, with a lace cape, relieved with touches of pink, and a hat to tone. Her bouquet was of flame-pink flowers. Later, the bride and bridegroom left for the south, the bride wearing a smart tailored costume of deepest ocean-blue, and hat to tone.
