John Faichney was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
John A Faichney was born in 1864 in Morpeth, Colony of New South Wales, son of William Faichney (1821–1882) and Isabella McLennan (1834–1874).
John and Emily Tout were married on 6 January 1909 in Port Macquarie, Australia. Emily was born in 1886 in Taree, Australia. She was the daughter of Owen Tout and Elizabeth (Koellner) Tout. Their children were:
- Edward Vivien Faichney (1908–1978)
- Florence Isabella Faichney (1910– )
- Dessae Jennit Faichney (1919–2006)
John passed away on 19 July 1946 in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia.
