The merchant and silk ribbon manufacturer F. became sixth in the guild to rebels and thus a member of the Gr. Advice He was the lay leader of the young city-based Pietism from the church. As a successor to his mother, F. made his house in the St.-Johanns-Vorstadt available for conventicles and as dwellings for religious relatives such as Samuel König, Samuel Lutz or Jakob Schmidlin. After an initial critical control by a religious chamber, the one from rigid-separatist was left. Pietists refused to grant F. and his circle. With the support of Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf, F. was ousted in 1741 from the presumed head of the Basel Brethren. F. died as the last of his family of refugees, naturalized in 1636.
