Biography

Harriet was born in 1835. She was the daughter of Enoch Fennell and Mary Wilkins.

In 1861 Harriet is living with her father Enoch in Church Street, Lacock, Wiltshire. Also in the household is her older brother Alfred, and his wife Sarah.^[1]

With two of her brothers, Alfred and George, Harriet came to Canterbury as an assisted immigrant on the Bombay. The ship left Gravesend on the 5 May 1866 and arrived in Lyttelton on the 18 August 1866. Her designation was domestic servant.

Harriet married Henry Norfolk on the 30 March 1869. ^[2] There were no children born to Harriet and Henry.

Harriet was 75 years old when she died at her home in Rangiora on the 19 September 1910. ^[3] The cause of death was heart failure. ^{[4] [5]}

Her funeral was held on the 21 September, when she was buried in the Rangiora Church of England Cemetery.^[6]

She had signed her last will and testament on the 17 June 1898. Her husband was the executor, and was the sole benficiary. ^[7]
