Biography

Johannes Fenner married Mary Thomas in Victoria, Australia in 1875. ^[1] They were the parents of :

Johannes was a farmer in central Victoria. A newspaper article dated 1910 records :

TALBOT, Wednesday. -An eight roomed dwelling at Dunach owned and occupied by Mr Johannes Fenner was destroyed by fire yesterday morning. Mr Fenner, who was in the habit of sleeping outside, rose shortly after midnight in order to call his sons who were going out duck-shooting. Afterwards he went into the bedroom, where the globe fell off the lamp and, the window being open, the wind blew the curtains into the flame. The house was soon on fire and only two or three articles were saved. His dwelling was insured in the Scottish Union and National Company for £150 and the furniture in the same office for £40. Mr Fenner estimates his loss at £100 and above insurance. ^[12]

Johannes died in Ballarat in 1923, aged 82. ^[13]
