Edith Agnes Ferris was born on September 3, 1876 in Sarawak Township, Grey, Ontario, Canada, daughter of Conrad Henry Ferris and Esther Dixon.^[1] Edith was baptised on January 8, 1878 at the Wesleyan Church in Sarawalk.^[2]

In the 1881 census Edith (age 4) was living with her mother in Brooke, Owen Sound, Grey, Ontario, Canada.^[3]

By 1892 her family was living in New York. During the census Edith (age 15) was in Wheatfield, Niagara, New York, United States with some extended family, her mother & sisters also living in the same city.^[4]

While attending University in Madison, Wisconsin she met & married Wiley Orlando Bellamy. They were married on June 18, 1901 at the home of Mr & Mrs. Henry Lewis in Madison, followed by a honeymoon at the home of his parents. Her parents were living in California at the time.^[5] Together they had one daughter, Muriel Jeamie Bellamy,^[6] before her death.

Edith Agnes Bellamy died (age 26) on 2 June 1903 in Lamont, Cook, Illinois, United States.^[7][8] She was buried on June 4th at Lockport Cemetery.^[9]
