Natala Ficarrotta, age 25 (b. 1863), housewife, daughter of the late Carlo Ficarrotta, who was a bottaio (shopkeeper) living in Corleone, and of the living Paola Fratello, a contadina living in Corleone; and Domenico Gebbia, age 29 (b. 1859), contadino, son of the late Pietro Gebbia and living Rosaria (her last name is not legible, looks like Jubia, is "Italia"), both contadini of Corleone; publish their marriage in the civil record on 25 August 1888 in Corleone.[1]
They marry in the Church on 16 September 1888 in Corleone.[2]
Domenico emigrates to the United States at an unknown date.
In June 1897, Natala joins Domenico. She appears on the SS Scindia sailing from Palermo on 1 June 1897 and arriving in the port of New York on 23 June with about fifteen other passengers from Corleone, most of them bound for the port of New Orleans, including Natala:
