Biography

Flora was born in 1888. She is the daughter of John Ervin Moss Firby and Jessie Nankivell.

In the 1901 census Flossie (age 12) was the single daughter of widower, Jno I. R Furby in Winnipeg (city/cité), Manitoba, Canada.^[2] My grandmother was 11 when her mother dies & of course had to share some household duty as it could not all be put onto Jessie & Olive.

In the 1906 census Flossie (age 18) was the single daughter of John E M Firby and Isabel(presumably stepmother) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.^[3]

In the 1926 census Flora (age 38) was the wife of John H Nicol in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.^[4].
