Biography

Sarah Saul was born in 1871 in the Whitehaven district. ^[1][2]

In the 1881 census Sarah (age 10), Scholar, was the daughter of James Fisher in Hollow Dyke, Arlecdon, Cumberland, England.^[3]

In 1891, Sarah was living with her widowed mother, Mary, and brothers at Arlecdon, Cumberland. ^[4]

Sarah married Joseph Sibson in 1896. ^[5]

She died at Kew, Victoria, in 1958 at the age of 85. ^[6]

Research Notes

Sarah's maiden name is unclear, although it appears to be Saul, as her birth records have her listed under the surname Saul. In the 1881, she is recorded with her parents and siblings under the surname Fisher, and in 1891, her name is Sawl/Saul with Fisher as a middle name. Her marriage is listed under the surname Saul.
