Mary Ann was born on the 5 November 1833 in the Village of Pulham St. Mary, next to the village of Pulham Market, approximately 15 miles (24 km) south of the Town of Norwich, Parish of Pulham St. Mary, in Norfolk, England. She was the daughter of Bricklayer/Labourer, William (Fiske) and Elizabeth (Land), who married on the 8 December 1831 at the Parish Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, in the Village of Pulham St. Mary, next to the village of Pulham Market, approximately 15 miles (24 km) south of the Town of Norwich, Parish of Pulham St. Mary, in Norfolk, England. It's interesting to note that it seems his brother, widower, John (Fiske) also married Elizabeth (Rayner) on the same day.
Her baptism takes place on the 11 November 1833 at the Parish Church of Saint Peter Parmentergate, on the end of King Street closest to Market Avenue, in the Town of Norwich, by the River Wensum, in Norfolk, England[2].
William (Stout) marries Mary Ann (Fiske) on the 17 April 1849 at the Parish Church of Saint Mary, Blundeston Road, in the Village of Somerleyton, near the River Waveney, 4.5 miles (7.2 km) north-west of the Town of Lowestoft, District of Mutford, in Suffolk, England[3].

Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns, by me, W. Wilsenden Love, Rector. This Marriage was solemnized between us, William Stout and Mary Ann Fiske her X mark in the Presence of us, George Flowerday and Rosina Flowerday[4].
We find Mary Ann in the Census Record of 1841 living with her parents William (Fiske) and Elizabeth (Land); her aunt, Maria (Fiske) and her sister, Sarah (Fiske) in the Village of Pulham St. Mary, next to the village of Pulham Market, approximately 15 miles (24 km) south of the Town of Norwich, Parish of Pulham St. Mary, District of Depwade, in Norfolk, England[5]. By the Census of 1851, William (Stout) has married Mary Ann (Fiske) and they live with daughters Emma Amy and Mary Ann (Stout). Their residence is located at Chapel House, in the Village of Aldeby, bounded to the south by the River Waveney (on the other side is Suffolk), Parish of Thorpe Next Haddiscoe, District of Loddon, Norfolk, England[6].
In 1861, we find the family living at Herne Hill, in the Village of Mutford, 5 miles (8.0 km) south-west of the Town of Lowestoft, Parish of Rutley, District of Mutford, in Suffolk, England. William and Mary Ann reside there with children Emma Amy, Isabella Amelia, Eliza Maria, Rosina Matilda, Harriet Virtue and Jessie Sarah (Stout)[7]. Then, in 1871, the couple are living with children Emma Amy, Mary Ann, Harriet Virtue, Jessie Sarah, Georgiana Elizabeth, Rose "Rosa" Matilda and Alice Edith (Stout). Their address is Mill Road, in Kirkley, Town of Lowestoft, District of Mutford, Parish of Kirkley, in Suffolk, England[8].
However, with the Census of 1881, both William and Mary are residing with their married daughter, Isabella Amelia (Stout/Beavers); her husband Labourer, William (Beavers); their son William (Beavers); their married daughter, Sarah Jane (Stout/Ratcliffe); their daughter Alice Edith (Stout) and Lodger, John (Gill). Their residence is located at Jessamine Cottage, 1, Lorne Park Road, Kirkley, in the Town of Lowestoft, District of Mutford, Suffolk, England[9]. In 1891, they are living at Lorne Park Road, Kirkley, in the Town of Lowestoft, Suffolk, England with single daughter, Georgiana Elizabeth (Stout); married daughter Alice Edith (Stout/Blower) and Alice's husband, Smacksman (one of the crew of a fishing smack; also : the owner of a smack), Henry (Blower)[10].
Mary Ann (Fiske) passes away around the 8 April 1900, possibly at Lorne Park Road, Kirkley, in the Town of Lowestoft, District of Mutford, in Suffolk, England. She was 69 years old at the time and the probable cause of death would be recorded on her Death Certificate[11]. She is buried on the 12 April 1900 at The Municipal Cemetery, London Road South, in the Coastal Town of Lowestoft, Parish of Kirkley, in Suffolk, England[12][13].
