Joan Fitzpatrick married Thomas Purcell, Baron of Loughmoe[1] Two of their sons, Ralph and Richard, served as Baron of Loughmoe, one after the other.
Their daughter Ellen married Piers Butler of Nodstown, grandson of James, 9th Earl of Ormond.
Five of Brian Fitzpatrick's sons received pardons in 1578, and another son, Geoffrey, after escaping from a Dublin prison, receives a pardon at the same time (3 June 1584) as "'Johanna FitzPatrick'" and her husband Thomas Purcell, Baron of Loughmore.[2]
