Catherine / Katherine Flynn was born in 1839 in Ireland.
Catherine was married to Stephen Bowen. Catherine and Stephen had three sons:
- Patrick Paul Bowen, born 1 Jan 1866 in MacRoom, County Cork, Ireland;
- John P. Bowen, b. 1868 in County Cork, Ireland;
- Stephen Joseph Bowen, b. 20 Jul 1871 in County Cork, Ireland.
About 1880 the widow Bowen emigrated with her sons Patrick, John and Stephen from Ireland to the United States, and took up residence in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Catherine Flynn Bowen died on 22 April 1884 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo county, Michigan.
