Barend Andreas van Marle, hierboven genoem werd 19 Aug 1870 te Hoogeveen, geboren. Hy was Stationschef te Standerton en Moreesburg in Zuid Afrika. Hij huwde in 1906 te Kaapstad met Anna Elizabeth Francina Maria Folken, geb. 30 Juli 1883 te Piketberg, Kaap Kolonie Zuid-Afrika, dochter van Sir William Folken en Magaretha Coetzee Vanwege de doorde de boerenoorlog veranderde omstandigheden moest B. A. van M. Engelschman worden om in zijn positie aldaar gehandhaaf te kunnen blijven, hy weigerde dit en keerde terug na Nederland, waar hy als amptenaar in functie trad bij de Gemeente Groningen, Hy overleed 26 Aug 1917 in Groningen. Anna E. F. M Folken, gods. Geref. overleed een jaar later op 9 Nov 1917 te Groningin. Uit hun huwelijk werden geboren:
