Helen was born in 1828. She was the daughter of John Alexander Sutherland Forbes and Harriet-Georgina (Prother) Forbes.[1] (she lied about her age on 1891 census!)
She married Francis Lane Magniac on 28 May 1846 in Bath. At the time she was living in Claremont Place, Bath.[2]
She married Charles Mayne in Bombay on 4 January 1865.[3]
In 1891, a widow, she is living in Hove, Sussex.[4]
Helen died at the age of about 68 in 1896. [5]
