Biography

John Addison Fordyce was born on February 16, 1858, in Guernsey, Ohio, his father, John, was 49 and his mother, Mary, was 40. He was educated at Adrain College in Adrain, Michigan where he received his bachelor of arts degree. He then attended Northwestern Unviersity Medical College in 1881. He had one son and one daughter with Alice Dean Smith between 1889 and 1895. He died on June 4, 1925, in Manhattan, New York, at the age of 67, and was buried in Bronx, New York.
