Biography

Salomo Forseén was born on 14 Aug 1834 in Ede in Fors parish, Jämtlands län, Sweden. He was the son of sexton/klockare Salomon Forsén (1794 - 1848) and his wife Märta Cajsa Nilsdotter (1805 - 1893).

He married Brita Greta Jonsdotter (1831 - 1896) on January 12, 1857. He was from Näset and she from Krokvåg according to the marriage record.^[1] They both worked in Ammer in Ragunda in 1856.^[2]

He and Brita Greta set up home in Näset in Ragunda after they married.^[3]

They had at least three childen:

1. Salomon (Forsen) Nelson (1861 - )
2. Jonas Olof Forseén (1865 - 1866)
3. Bertha Kristina (Forsen) Forseen (1872 - 1954).

He was a shoe maker and the family lived in Näset in Ragunda parish, Jämtland 1861-1872. He is noted as mormon in the household record.^[4] The family lived in Näset until 1882 when they emigrated to the United States. Their travel parish pass was issued on July 26, 1882.^[5]

Salomon died on 22 Dec 1903 in Pine County, Minnesota, United States aged 69.
