The paper is copied from file info at Cape May Historical.
Its dated 1991 from a man in Florida and I think written to the
woman in Texas. I think I put it aside because of mistakes
and never looked at it again. BUT, guess what he mentions
Fosters!!!!! According to this paper his great grandparents
were Eliza Springer Foster and Joseph Charles Sutton.
Above that he had Mahlon Foster 1814 - 1870 and above
that Jeremiah Foster. <snip>

Researching Mahlon Foster parentage/ancestory. He was a blacksmith
in Port Elizabeth, NJ. He might have been tied to Ezekiel Foster
and the Bucks who founded Millville, NJ. Also might be part of
Cape May Fosters. Family history says came from Long Island after
being in New England.

My guess is that George McClellan FOSTER is from either the ReginaldFOSTER line or the Christopher FOSTER line. I've never heard or found anyreference to Quakers in the family. The line supposedly came from MA byway of Long Island. This would make the Christopher FOSSTER line mostlikely especially since they were in Cape May, NJ.
Tuckerton, NJ, is also on the shore and not that far from Cape May.

More (pushed the wrong button). There were an awful lot of Christophersas well as an awful lot of Nathaniels that make it all the moreconfusing. I've also traced the NJ Lawrences and have no Rebecca, letalone one who m. a Foster.
I trying to trace my Mahlon, I listed every imaginable Foster and anyfacts concerning that Foster in a large spreadsheet (marriages, births, tax rolls, census, etc) then keep referring back to find where any mightmatch. So far, nothing more for you.
