She died Saturday in American Health Care Center in Circleville, Ohio. Survivors included a daughter, a brother, a sister and one grandchild. She was 80 years of age at her death.

Halloween made me think of Aunt Elsie. She always looked forward to having us come to trick or treat at her house. We lived in the country so it was miles between houses but we would have never missed Aunt Elsie! She fixed special treats for us and we would sit and enjoy them with her for awhile before leaving. What I remember is that it gave her as much joy as us, which was the essence of this generous, lovely woman.
