Francis Ker Fox was born in about 1806 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England to Edward Long Fox and Isabella (Ker) Fox.
Francis Ker Fox, son of Edward Long Fox, a doctor of medicine, and Isabella, was christened as an adult on 25 Sep 1827 at St Luke, Brislington, Somerset.[1] His sister Madelina Ker Fox and brother Charles Joseph Fox were christened on the same day.
Francis Ker Fox married Janet Sarah Simpson on 18 Aug 1829 at St Luke, Brislington - witnesses were Edward Long Fox, Sarah Simpson, Charles Joseph Fox, Isabella Fox, and Richard Vaughan Simpson.[2]

In 1841 Francis Kee Fox (age 35-39, Resident Physician) lived at the Brislington House Lunatic Asylum at Kings Arms Lane in Brislington with his wife Janet Sarah (30-34) and six children: Frances Janet (10), Edward Ling (9), Francis Frederick (8), Vaughan (7), Charles Henry (4), and Florence (3), as well as more than a hundred others - servants, employees, and patients of the aylum.[3]
Francis' wife Janet Sarah Fox passed away in 1850.
In 1851 Francis K Fox (age 46, Physician Graduate St John College Cambridge) lived in Brislington with five of his children: Frances I (20), Francis T (18, Clerk to Wine Merchant), Vaughan S (16, Scholar), Thomas [Florence] A (12, Scholar at Home), and Janet L (9, , Scholar at Home), as well as visitor Mary Bradley (38, Governess) and five servants: Thomas Siens (19, Footman), John Rich (29, Coachman), Sarah Clarke (53, Cook), Mary Rich (28, House Maid), and Mary Thomas (25, Ladies Maid).[4]
Francis Ker Fox (Widowed, son of Edward Long Fox) married Mary Bradley (Single, daughter of Charles Bradley) on 31 Jul 1851 in Clapham, Surrey.[5] The marriage was registered in Wandsworth, London in the third quarter of the year.[6]

In 1861 Francis Ker Fox (age 50, Doctor of Medicine Uni. Cambridge) lived at Brislington House in Brislington with two of his daughters: Floriana Amelia (21, Lady) and Janet Sarah (19, Lady), as well as visitor William Philip Dymond (32, Barrister in Actual Practice) and more than a hundred others - servants, employees, and patients of Brislington House.[7] His wife and other children were living at Knightstone in Weston Super Mare: the household consisted of his wife Mary Fox (48, Wife of Surgeon), four sons - Bonville (8), Wyndham (7), John (5), and Herbert (2) - visitor Jane Harrison (48, Lady), and three servants.
Francis was one of the Executor's of his mother's Will in 1861: "4 May. The Will of Isabella Fox late of Heath House Brislington in the County of Somerset Widow deceased who died 10 April 1861 at Brislington aforesaid was proved at Bristol by the oaths of Francis Ker Fox of Brislington aforesaid Esquire M.D. and Charles Joseph Fox of the same place Esquire M.D. the Sons and the Executors. Effects under £3,000."[8]
In 1871 Francis K Fox (age 66, Doctor Of Medicine) lived in Brislington with his wife Mary (57), daughter Janet S (29), son John C B (15, Scholar), and seven servants.[9]
In 1881 Francis K Fox (age 76, Physician) and his wife Mary (68) were lodgers in Tormoham With Torquay, Devon in a lodging house run by Mary M Rankin.[10]
Francis Ker Fox passed away on 7 Jan 1883, aged 78 years. His death was registered in Keynsham, Somerset in the first quarter of the year.[11]
An obituary for Dr Francis Ker Fox was published in The Exeter and Plymouth Gazette on 12 Jan 1883.[12]

The Will with two Codicils of Francis Ker Fox late of Brislington House in the Parish of Brislington in the County of Somerset M.D. who died 7 January 1883 at Brislington House was proved at Bristol by Charles Henry Fox M.D. and Bonville Bradley Fox M.D. both of Brislington the Sons and Herbert Francis Fox of the City of Bath Esquire the Son the Executors. Personal Estate £34,125 13s. 8d."[13]
