Bernard^[1] Alex C. Franklin was born Aug^[2] 1833 in Madison County,^[3][4][5] Kentucky.^[6] He was the son of Alexander C and Judith W. Franklin.^[6][1]

He married Georgia^[6] about 1857^[2][5] Ann^[7] Harber^[4][7] and the couple had the following known children:

1. Sidney C.^[3] Franklin was born 01 Apr 1858 in Washington County,^[5] Kentucky, died from a stroke on 22 Mar 1931 in Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky and was buried in Mount Vernon.^[4][6][8]
2. Margaret Franklin was born Aug 1864^[2] in Kentucky.^[6][3] She died 15 Jun 1957 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky and was buried in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.^[7]

Alex died 01 Mar 1904 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky and is buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.^[3][8][9]
