Biography

Actor, best known as Sgt Claude Snudge The Army Game and it's sequel series, Bootsie and Snudge in the 1960s. A later generation will remember him as Bert in The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole.

Bill was born in 1908. He was the son of Alexander Frazer and Bettie Simpson. He was born in and grew up in Perth, Scotland.

His name is referred to in records as Frazer but professionally he used the spelling Fraser.

In the 1921 census, William (age 13) was living with his parents Alexander and Bettie in Perth.[1]

In the 1939 register, William (age 31), Actor Manager, was recorded as single in Worthing, Sussex, England.[2]
