Biography
Ashley was born in 1863. at Paddington, London He was the son of James Froude and Charlotte Grenfell.
He studied at Westminster and Oriel College at Oxford
He married Ethel Aubrey Halifax daughter of Albert Praed Halifax and Isabella Aubrey Coker in 1897 at Chelsea, London He was appointed Companion , Order of St.Michael and St.George (G.M.G.) and held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P) , His son was John Aubrey Froude who died 22 September 1914 when H.M.S. Cressy was torpedoed by U 9.
