Joseph Fry served in the Australian Imperial Force in World War 1 and attained the rank of Lance Corporal. His enlistment date was 12 Oct 1915. When he enlisted, his address was Bajool via Rockhampton, Queensland His next of kin on enlistment was: Mother, Mrs Mary Fry, Bajool via Rockhampton, Queensland. His occupation when he enlisted was Stockman. His unit was: 26th Battalion, 11th Reinforcement. His Regimental Number was: 4408. He embarked from Australia on board HMAT A16 Star of Victoria, Mar 1916. [2]
