Charles Henry Fuge was born 27 Sep 1877 in Dungarvan County Waterford Ireland , 1882 Charles and family departed Plymouth, Devon , England on board 'The Duchess of Argyle" Charles arrived in Australia - February 6th 1883 - age 5.   • FUNERAL NOTICE.
  • The Relatives and Friends of MRS. C. H. FUGE and FAMILY,of Uki, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral of her late Husband and their Father, Charles Henry, to move from the Church of the Sacred Heart, Murwillumbah, TO-DAY (Thursday) , at 1.30 p.m., for the Catholic Cemetery. Uk Road. 3155

  • The death occurred in hospital at Murwillumbah yesterday of Mr.Charles Henry Fuge (65), a resident of the Uki district for the past 40 years. Born in Sydney, he married, 33 years ago at Rowland's Creek, Miss Agnes Mills. The late Mr. Fuge followed the occupations of dairy farmer and carpenter. In addition to a widow, he is survived by a family of five. Mr. Francis John Fuse who is serving with the A.I.F. abroad, is the only son, and Mesdames C. Mitchell (Uki), B. Sterling (North Tumbulgum) R. V. Smith (Uki) and Miss Essie Fuge (Coolangatta) are daughters. One brother, Mr. John Fuge (Maitland), and one sister, Mrs. Eva Bell (Sydney), and 10 grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by another sister two years ago. The funeral will move from' the Church of the Sacred Heart, Murmillumbah, to-day at 1.30 p.m. for the Catholic Cemetery. Uki Road.
