The birth of Abram Fuller, the son of John Fuller and Anna (Tobey) Fuller, was recorded at Winthrop, Maine (then in Massachusetts) with a date of 18 Dec 1771.[1] The 1928 history of Livermore, Maine, says that his parents did not move to Winthrop from Barnstable, Massachusetts, until 1773.[2] The birth of his brother Isaac, born in 1769, is recorded at Barnstable[3] and was re-recorded at Winthrop after his parents moved there,[4] but Abram's birth is recorded only at Winthrop. The 1850 Census shows his birthplace as Massachusetts,[5] and the 1908 Fuller genealogy says he was born at Barnstable.[6] His name at his birth was recorded as Abram, but it appears later both as Abram and as Abraham.
Marriage
On 15 Jan 1800, Abram Fuller (recorded as Abraham Fuller) and Desire Foster, both of Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), published at Livermore their intention to marry.[7] and they married on 2 Feb 1800; a transcription of the marriage record appears in the vital records of Hallowell, Maine, but is gives no place,[8] and it is unlikely that they were married there. Their first known child was born at Livermore on 4 Feb 1803.[9]
Childen
Abram and Desire (Foster) Fuller recorded the following children at Livermore, Maine.[9]In the 1820 census, the Abraham Fuller household includes four male and two female children; the oldest female child was aged 16 to 25, and she may not have been a daughter, or she may have been their daughter and born before started recording children at Livermore in 1803.[10]
Abram Fuller was in Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts) by the date of his marriage intention in January 1800.[7] The last record of him there is the 1820 census.[10] The 1928 history of Livermore says that he lived in East Livermore and later moved to Lagrange, Maine, where he died.[2] The 1850 Census shows him living at Lagrange with his wife Desire in the household of Jos. A. Thomas.[5]
