Biography

William Charles Fuller was born "William Charles Hayter Ilsley" about 1845 in Caversham, Oxfordshire, England (per death record) to parents ____ and Emma Ilsley. He was baptized on 30 Mar 1845 in Caversham, Oxfordshire, England. His name was changed to Fuller in Aug 1851 when his mother Emma married George Richard Fuller and he was adopted by George.

He immigrated with his family to Australia arriving on 25 Jun 1855 in Port Adelaide, South Australia, on board the "Taymouth Castle". He married firstly Ellen Plew on 16 Feb 1867 in Undalya, South Australia. Children: Alfred Ernest, Emma Jane, Alice, Edith May, Edmund, Lilbern Mary, William Charles, John George, Murray Plew, Nelson, Malcolm, Alick Morris.

After his wife Ellen died in 1890 he married secondly Ann Browne on 21 Sep 1892 in St. Paul's Church, Adelaide, South Australia. Children: Arthur Garfield, Allan Roy, Eileen. He died on 22 Jan 1924 in Yacka, South Australia, Australia.
