Biography

John Fulton was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

John Fulton, son of John Fulton and Mary Martin Dunsmore, was born in 1859 in Indigo, in the Colony of Victoria. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1884 John married Isabella McDuff Jarvis. ^[3]
John and Isabella had 5 children:

1. Walter Sydney Fulton, b. 1885
2. Mary Janet (Fulton) Wilesmith, b. 1887
3. William John Fulton, b. 1889-1957
4. Christina Ellen Fulton, b. 1891, d. 1892
5. Isabella Maud (Fulton) Wilesmith, b. 1893

OBITUARY

MR. JOHN FULTON

The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr. John Fulton, of Junee, at the residence of his son, Mr. Walter Fulton, Leeton. Mr. Fulton, who had been blind for the last 10 years, was aged 80 years at the time of his death. His wife died about 16 months ago. He is survived by two sons and two daughters. Messrs. Walter and William Fulton, of Leeton, and Mesdames J. Wilesmith and E. Wilesmith, of Junee. He was born at Chiltern (V.). In his younger days Mr. Fulton was a well-known coach driver in the Beechworth and Bright (V.) districts, but 21 years ago he went to Junee where he continued is business till falling eyesight forced him to retire. About six months ago he went to reside with his son Walter, who is a farmer, near Leeton. The funeral will move from the Methodist Church, Junee, this afternoon at 4 o'clock, after a short service at the church beginning at 3.45 o'clock. The brethren of Lodge Alexandra, No. 117, Junee, will attend a Lodge of Sorrow in the Masonic Hall at 3.30 p.m. in memory of the late Mr. Fulton.

He was buried at Junee Cemetery, Junee, New South Wales, Australia, with his wife, Isabella. ^[6] Their gravestone reads:
