Biography
Enoch was the son of Abijah Gale, (a twin) and Mary Gale, born in Oxford, Massachusetts. [1]
Enoch married, first, Jerusha Gale in about 1801, perhaps in Oxford where they published their intention to marry on 17 Nov 1801. [2] They removed to Charlton. They had, soon after marrying:
- Franklin, b. 25 Aug 1802
- She died not long afterwards.
Enoch Gale then married Susannah Nichols, also of Charlton, in Oxford, 19 March 1807.[2]
Enoch and Susannah Gale lived in Charlton, where they had:[3]
- Jerusha, b. 24 Nov 1810, m. Aaron Fuller of Barre 1835
- William, b. 4 May 1813, m. Emeline Dodge, 1832
- Irenia, b. 6 Nov 1815, m. Horace Lamson, 1843
- Susan, b. 13 June 1818
- Silvester, b. 20 June 1823
- Mary Jane, b. 11 Jan 1826
Enoch died in 1859 in Charlton. [1]
