Ann was born in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1894. She was the daughter of James Gallaway and Mary Cardie.^[1]

She married David Hillocks in Paisley, Renfrewshire on 26 Feb 1915.^[2]

Ann died at the age of 78 in 1972 in Paisley.^[3]
