Biography

William was born in 1835. He was the son of Thomas Gambell and Elizabeth Borne. He was christened 23rd March 1835 in Independent, Newnham, Kent, England^[1] He was living with his parents and siblings at Newnham Village, Newham, Kent, England in 1841^[2] He was living with his father in Linstead, Kent, England and he was working as a Agricultural Labourer in 1851^[3] He was living with his mother and siblings at Eastchurch Street, Eastchurch, Kent, England and he was still working as a Agricultural Labourer in 1861^[4] he married Ellen Grant in Thornham, Kent, England in 1865^[5] He was living with his wife and daughter in Borden, Kent, England and he was working as a Labourer in 1871^[6] He was still living with his wife and daughter at Pembury Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, England and he was working as a Carman in 1881^[7] He was living with his wife still at Pembury Street, Sittingbourne, kent, England and he was working as a Carter in 1891^[8] He was living with his wife still in Pembury Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, England and he was working as a General Labourer on a farm in 1901^[9] He was living with his wife and daughter in Sittingbourne, Kent, England and he was working as a General Labourer in 1911^[10] He passed away in 1912^[11]
