Biography
Mr. Garretson was born December 18, 1929 at Pigeon, Michigan, the son of the late Lewis and Clara Albrecht Garretson. He died Sunday, July 27, 1997, at his home. He farmed in the Prophetstown area and served as a bishop in the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church. Mr. Garretson was preceded in death by; his parents; his wife, Mabel Hostetler, who died Jan. 8, 1997; one brother, Merle Hostetler; one sister, Verneta Kempf; two infant brothers; one infant sister; and two grandsons. Mr. Garretson has 23 direct descendants living in the Nashville, AR. area.
