He married Lela Mae Snyder (1892-1972), the daughter of William Sterritt Snyder and Mary Josephine Swink, marrying around 1911[citation needed] and having two children together:

Ora registered for the World War I draft when he was 24. registering in Dayton, Ohio on June 5, 1917.[2] He stated that he lived at 851½ N. Main Street in Dayton and that he worked for himself as a music instructor. Ora was described as a tall, slender man with brown hair and blue eyes; he did not enlist.
Ora and his family made their home in Dayton, where he continued working as a music teacher, residing in 1920 at 127 Shaw Avenue in Dayton and teaching voice at a vocal studio.[3] In 1930, he and his family lived in a rented apartment on E. Hudson Avenue in Dayson,[4] working for himself, teaching music, by 1940.[5]
Ora registered for the World War II draft when he was 49, registering in Dayton on April 26, 1942.[6] He stated that he lived at 34 E. Hudson Avenue in Dayton and that he worked as a music teacher. Ora was described as 6'1½" tall and 190 pounds and, having registered in the "old man's draft," did not enlist.
By 1950, Ora owned a voice instruction studio in Dayton.[7] He registered with the Social Security Administration in 1959.[8]
Ora Gebhart passed away in Dayton, Ohio[9] at the age of 67 and is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta,Ohio.[10]
