Biography

Son of John Geisel. Born in Berlin (according to 1920 census) which was the capital of the Kingdom of Prussia in 1865. Most other sources say his birthplace was Germany.

Immigrated to the United States in 1882. Naturalized in 1900. Married about 1904.
